Have you ever seen a chubby postman? It is probably safe to say that most of you will answer “no” to that question. That is probably because their job entails a lot of walking and carrying around heavy bags filled with letters and parcels. They do not even go on special diets. The road to health and fitness can start with something as easy as walking. It really is unbelievably that simple! Just start walking more each day and you will eventually see pleasing results.
If you have the time, you can take a thirty-minute walk around the neighbourhood before heading off to work. You can start at a slow and leisurely pace. Eventually, you will be able to cover longer distances and you will develop the strength to walk at a faster and more intense pace. You can also burn a few more calories by opting to take the stairs instead of an elevator, or by parking your car a bit farther from your office building so you will have a few more minutes to stretch your legs. In a few months’ time, you will surely start shedding pounds!
